Friday morning, December 5. Weekend's near. Still work to be done, seminars to be taught, meetings to be held. Students rushing in. And there is you, the last gentleman that deserves this name. We are walking, slowly, side by side, exchanging a few words, taking about upcoming projects, smiling, laughing, before we say goodbye and part to our offices. These few minutes I experienced many mornings assured me that as long as there are people like you, there is good in the world. What a grave loss. You were the *Human* in the Humanities Faculty, thus says Sarastro in the Magic Flute: "More than that he's a human being". May the eternal source of light divine shine upon you. You will be badly missed.
