I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Prof. Osman Oguz, who taught me in the Industrial Engineering Department during the 1990s.
Beyond his remarkable competence as a professor, what has remained with me most profoundly over the years is his humanity, his personal contact, his guidance, and his support. His kindness and the way he connected with his students had an impact on me that went far beyond the classroom. His advice, encouragement, and genuine interest in his students were qualities I have never forgotten.
I feel privileged to have been one of his students, and I will always remember him with great respect, gratitude, and affection.
My deepest condolences to his family, colleagues, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
May he rest in peace. His memory will remain with us.
